Yep, needed lots of assistance from this site and online thesaurus, so more of a slog than fun. And why on earth is 3D Ones rather than One? (Or is this just another example of Everyman being slapdash with apostrophes - cf. 26A?)
I think the apostrophe must have fallen out of 3d and landed in 26a :-)
Why we need so quite much punctuation in 10a is also a mystery to me.
Actually I found this ok.
Much more satisfying this week. Just the right degree of challenge. FOI: 1d LOI: 21d. COD: 19a or 26a. No stand outs really but an all round good puzzle . Thank you Everyman for years of Sunday morning entertainment.
I would guess that the fact there are only 8 posts by 5.30 on Sunday afternoon that this was not overly popular. This is never an Everyman crossword by any stretch of the imagination. Many of the complicities of solving and parsing are only for a seasoned crossworder. Also Everyman nuances missing. Spoilt the Sunday afternoon regular for me.
