Thanks Candledave. That's very poor imv, given its not remotely, and never had been a country. That explains why I couldn't find any likely answers in the various lists of countries I've been trawling through.

All done, but I've never seen the final product before. Is it a symbol or sign found in the UK?

Struggled to the end of this one, have removed the letter
common to 14 clashes an highlighted to leave thematic shapes.
Am I being particularly obtuse, because the remaining 14 letters
(now highlighted) seem to have no meaning - should they?
