I have the author, quote, 13 clashes and 5 thematic removals. A steer on 37a “Marrying couple say one sins” will hopefully help me limp over the line.

Crewcalling, in 37a. Def. is first 3 words. A word for 'unit' + one for 'sins'. with extra letter.

crewcalling - you'll gather from the reply that you've had that 37 isn't a "rejection". Since I don't know which 5 you've identified I can't specify the elusive one. What I think is the case is that the 6 clue numbers add up to 132 I hope that that helps.

Thanks Will37. I have identified my last thematic, in no small part thanks to post 40 from Brendan.

Have enjoyed this but starting to get a bit frustrated as teasing out the last three thematics has taken almost as long as the rest of the puzzle (and I still only have 2 of them).

Have finished everything apart from first letter of 30d, just can't figure it out. Can someone confirm

1. It's thematic
2. The pre adjustment answer is in chambers?

It is thematic but not in Chambers as definition is first word of the clue
