I’ve been so confused by this puzzle! As a relatively new crossworder (?) I find the general knowledge puzzles much harder. BUT with patience and a tonne of help from this thread, I’m nearly there… I think I have 15a (a different kind of expert from the others, but quite obvious) but I cannot parse it to save my life! Any pointers?

Irrational is two letters (maths). Run is one letter (cricket) which needs to be subtracted from a word for dates

I really liked this one. The theme was not just a list, Google deffo required for the obscure ones, a proper challenge for me. FOI was12a, LOI was 24d.
COD several good ones. Just finished.

FOI 18d, which gave me 17a, which immediately gave me the theme.
Finished and everything parsed except 21d.
Can anyone explain that one to me?
