6d (unclued), assuming that I've got the correct answer - ha!, doesn't appear in any dictionary of mine. The setter being Doc, I even looked it up in Brewer and couldn't find it.

Are you thinking along the lines of a place for a drink in the interval at a theatre? Because that’s what I’ve got and seemingly it’s all that will fit. I’d also like some reassurance!

6d is the two word unclued thematic. (It’s also a national symbol.) Am I just liverish this morning or was this puzzle really as tedious as it felt to me?
