In contrast I get the "gym kit" but not the "brown".
And am baffled by the "excellent" part of 20ac.

15 Read both as verbs, but I don't think it quite works
20 I have a vague suspicion that letters 5-7 are a slang expression for "excellent"?

I can just about see "brown" equating to getting a sun tan and maybe the "sun" is supposed to suggest sunning oneself, but a pretty average clue IMO.
As for "def", maybe you have to be a millennial to know such things. Certainly a new one on this octogenarian.
