As this is a numerical puzzle, the usual wording isn't really appropriate. If any number-loving Forum member has a version that is more pertinent, works better, feel free to pass it on to me!

Help with the clues may be sought here, and gentle help towards the theme may be sought here. Aim to give a nudge in the right direction, don't give away anything that would spoil the puzzle for others. Anything that could be seen as a spoiler is likely to be removed. The theme itself should not be revealed.

The Listener is a unique puzzle and should be treated with respect.

Nice puzzle Oyler. Set off like a house on fire, got stuck for an hour and then had a speedy finish. Mistaking a DS for a DP was a bad move.

Me too, Jordan, except that my house burnt down as the final ones to solve indicated I'd made a mistake somewhere earlier on. Try again in the morning.

malone. Email me at oyler@crossnumbersquarterly.com. I can give some pointers as to what I consider to be acceptable and what is not if that's any help.

What does 'digits have opposite parity' mean please?

I think opposite parity means one is odd and the other is even?

That is correct felipedon. Parity is to do with oddness and evenness. If they are the same parity then they are either all odd or all even.

I think I've got a full grid that satisfies all clues and the first two words of the instruction come out very easily. I'm stuffed if I can make a sensible word out the possibilities for the final word. any hints?

It's a common word, even commoner in crossword parlance. If you can't make a word out of the options, I'd say you have made a mistake. Make sure you haven't (like I did) read them in order along the bottom of the grid!
