Yes, 'skiver' was a new one to me too (and having to alter the other 102 letters was a messy business) but I enjoyed the puzzle.

It's been a long slog for me and I'm still unsure about several clues' parsing. I've found the 14 thematic items but have no idea how to adjust the 102 cells. But, as so often, I stand back in admiration of the construction.

as they're not part of any thematic... they shouldn't be written in... (is how I interpreted it).

I thought that they should be entered...but not cap sized.

My, '...' is a missing word, granama1 - the same one both times (sorry it wasn't clear).
