I have theme, name, message but struggling to fill the far right of the grid.
Can I have a steer towards 11d, 44a.
I only have 5 of the eight clashes so some letters may not be right.
11. Top restaurant reserving by family names. N?M?N?
44. Country Soviet, very old and confused. ?O?O?T

Hi Lumen,

44a - 2 abbreviations + 4 letter "confused" - definition is "country soviet" (a Soviet rural district). Your letters are correct

11d - this is one of the 3 I can't parse but I know is right because all the letters are cross-checked - definition is "family names". Your letters are correct

Thanks Lumen,

No, that's "river" + 3 letter "land south of Ontario".

My 2 others unparsed are 17d "mould of ...." and 25d "patient's first drug ....".

@Brendan. Gastronome? Not really but I was surprised by how far people would travel and how much they'd pay to eat nicely presented moss, pine needles and other scrapings from the forest floor. 🤣
