I wasn't sure who you meant Geeker, so I Googled "guitarists electrocuted on stage" and wow, the list is long!

There's a video on YouTube of The Goo Goo Dolls playing an outdoor gig in Buffalo NY (your neck of the woods) when it is absolutely teeming down - does not look safe but the crowd loved it:-)

Geeker, Rogissimo, in my defence (oh, here we go - this should be good😂) I did say in my opening post that I was sure Picaroon had a good reason and that I was no doubt in the wrong:-)

After struggling with last few prize puzzles, I was definitely on Picaroon's wavelength today. Some excellent and often clever cluing helped me make steady progress.
FOI 15 and agree that 16 was COD with 25 a close second.
LOI As often the case, found myself staring at 23 for far too long before PDM.

It's interesting how solvers' experiences can differ - 15a was actually my LOI.

For all you eagle-eyed solvers who spotted I'd put the wrong title, I've asked Norah to correct it:-)

Geeker the jumbo will be Christmas Eve I suspect.

Unlike others on here I'm not progressing quite so swiftly though I am enjoying it. I'm off to my wife's family do in Belfast this PM so I may not finish today at this rate.

13d - Not the name of a specific person, more a job title - definition is "bass from this person" (nothing to do with music)

I also thought today might be a Maskarade bumper Christmas special, but perhaps that’s coming next week. This was great fun. Agree with comments about, 16a probably my favourite too. The crossing 7d and 11a held out til the end for me.

Aagh, stuck on the last 2! Is 14d the name of somebody? And I have absolutely no idea for 23d despite having (I think) correct crossers.
