I sent one last evening, quisling. I had a pleasant afternoon with a tough solve and only saw cockie's request when I came here to check the views of others about this fab puzzle.

Few loose ends for me. Can't see the wordplay for 25a so not sure if last letter is D or K.

Have finished the puzzle other than that but can't figure out the second word of the across message. Currently have ? G Y ? E, which seems somewhat unlikely.

I can't remember what 25A was, but (if memory serves) I had the across message as 5, 4, 2, 1, 3. And the second word had none of your letters in.

The across message is 6, 5, 4, 2, 1, 3. The G of your 5 letter word is wrong. 25a could conceivably have been D or K, but the latter is more accurately supported by Chambers’ definitions. Single letter inside three-letter reversal. The misprint indicates reversal, and the 5 could have been 3,2

Sorry, Suzannah, you were right but missed off the first word. I couldn’t remember anything - had to fish it out of the recycling!

I haven't done this particular crossword before. Although I've scoured the net, I haven't been able to find it. Could anyone please tell me which newspaper it's published in? Thank you!
