Well it has taken us 3-4 hours off and on, some Googling, a little help from here and other nefarious methods, but I'm delighted to say we've completed it. A few words totally new to us, but always good to learn. ☺️
Hi, all. Nearly finished this thanks to the Forum.
Really liked 22A ( but not as much as the bottom word in yesterday’s Everyman - great misdirection using “numbers”)
Can’t work out 24D despite having both crossers.
Thanks
Jono @ 6 was correct. Indicated in 8a "snakes" wind down (i.e. not in a straight line) and from 9a "ladders" run up. So you should be able to find (at least) four ladders running up the grid and four snakes winding down the grid.
