Yes I can't get the t omission at all.

Went into the garden to work in the sun for a couple of hours.
The fresh air should have helped my brain, but ....
am stuck with just 21d . I have every other letter but no idea :(

19D is proving very troublesome. I have ?I? / T?C?.
Is the definition the last two words of the clue? A strong hint would be very welcome as this is my last clue.

5: I assume t is the "and another", but it seems (oddly) to leave the solver to decide which addl. letter to remove

Cymro last two words are the def. but I cannot parse

21 is a word I didn't know, but the parsing is fairly clear:
2-letter abbrev. for "modern times" surrounding a reversal of [(1,3) = "a", "couple"].

21d and 19d both I constructed from the clues
21 is an unlikely-looking word, but constructs exactly from the clue.
19 a slit upwards inside a specialist sort of scissors

Forgot: defn. of 21 is "desert animal".
