I took "and another" to be the T that is with C in the famous play.
Take T away and the answer remains within the rest.

Hi Chrise the ‘by’ in the clue refers to the fact that a three letter word for bad follows a one letter word. As Brendan said earlier I never knew that the answer also meant a nasty person.
