One last cry for help if anyone is still here…
I’ve finished the grid and found the perimeter names, thanks to help.
Final question… Can’t find the character in the grid. Where do I start?

Start in the centre. Look for a symmetrical shape, which involves repetition (at least, mine does)

I tend to agree with lumen. Some of the clues - e.g. 7d - were rather tortuous too.

Late to the party again. Do I have to make up my own (scuse the language) faux translation, or find it on t'internet?

By the way, isn't the politics a hoot😂
