Thanks to Everyman for a solid offering this week, just about the right "level of difficulty" for an Everyman.
Most of the trademark features: rhyming pair, first letters, "Everyman" in clue, but no Spoonerism.
FOI 1d, LOI 13. COD 7 (which I really enjoyed) over 13 and 16.
No Nina, but there is a RITA in the 8th row...
Seemed to be more cryptic definitions than usual, a couple of which I didn't find overly inspired but YMMV.
Perhaps also unusually many solutions with double letters (e.g. Geek, which isn't in the grid, no spoiler here).

All done except 20d. There is an obvious stringed instrument but I cannot parse it.

Instrument common in Baroque (and earlier?) music, homophone for "spoils" (slang noun).

Geeker, unfortunately you started a 2nd thread when there was already a thread on the first page. Your thread had replies but the thread by Clarkgwent did not, so I have copied his post here.

POST BY CLARKGWENT

All done, easy enough, rhyming pair etc. Had to look up the Japanese city of 19d which I still cannot parse.

Oh and I reckon 14d was "seventies"

Good fun I thought. I notice a connection between the first parts of 1a and 14a ;-)

Dapper, for 2d if you add back a single letter for German into your answer you’ll find the sportsmen’s house. The definition is straight out of Chambers but not my first thought

After last week's epic failure, I was pleased to complete this quite quickly . I think the second meaning of 3d exists only in crosswordland. Not entirely convinced by the first meaning of 1a.
