THE THEME

Requests may be be made here for gentle nudges towards the theme. 'Gentle nudges' is hard to define, of course - try to help without giving away too much. The theme itself should not be revealed under any circumstances.

Early finishers shoud avoid any reference - jocular or otherwise - to the theme.

The Listener is a unique puzzle and should be treated with respect.

Blimey! I haven't even printed it off yet. I was saving it for a footyless weekend, but sounds as though I will need early starts on the other weekend puzzles.

I wonder what I’m missing. Finished both grids but no wow moment and no idea about the title. Should I be looking for more?

As to the title, think “BOGOF” in the supermarket.

My favourite clue was 27a with the 'undressed fish' - excellent:-)

Completed in under an hour, which is a first for me. This may be an entry level puzzle but, for new solvers, may well be a little misleading as to the normal standard of puzzle,
