A Peer Review/Clueless crossword

As many of you know, there is a long running set of clue-writing contests on this forum, that began on March 31, 2011. Since then over 1200 words have been clued by a bevy of clever cruciverbalists. In these contests everyone sets a clue (or clues) based on a suggested word, people vote for their favorite clue and the winner runs the following contest.

Here is a crossword that consists (almost) entirely of winning clues from these contests.

A few notes:

1) You will note that the grid is HIGHLY irregular - best I could do, sorry.
2) The few asterisked clues were written by me as I just needed a few shorties to provide some checking letters. Those clues should be mostly write-ins.

Let me know here if there are any issues. I will post a solution file on Thursday, which will contain which contest the clue came from, and who wrote it (a trip down memory lane for the veterans, I think).

Buddy, thank you very, very much! It must have taken a lot of time and effort to put that together, and it's very much appreciated. I will have a proper look in the morning.

PS I think there's a teeny typo - 23 A says (5) but there are only four cells.

I enjoyed this Buddy. There are a couple I haven't quite parsed. Ironically, I had the most difficulty with 30a, although it rang a bell ...

Bravo again Buddy, this was indeed a fun solve. 23a had me stumped and I had to revert to original thread to unpick it, perfectly fair though. Iā€™m looking forward to finding out who set what and when.
