My First and only one in was 11d before I had to resort to clues here and missing letter finder. I’ve battled through and surprisingly have only one left.

I can’t fully parse everything, particularly the first word of 27a and the first two words of 4d.

Frustrated to have one left unsolved - 5a I have ?A?P?T but can’t make anything fit. Have I made a mistake? I can’t parse the first word of 8d so maybe I’m wrong there?

5a ends with S
first word of 27a is another word for a 'safe'

8d - single letter "starter of salt" + 4 letter "fish" + 3 letter "no longer on the menu"

27a - first word is slang for "safe" (where you keep valuables)

4d - "wearing attractive outfit" is 2, 4 and goes around 3 letter "stifling" and a homophone of "satisfied sound"

4d - it's not a homophone of "satisfied sound" but the first 3 letters/'short' of 4.

Thanks for the parsing, never heard that word for safe before. Don’t really like 4d.

5a - if you reverse the last 3 letters you get an "idiot"

What's inside a tree is also a word for a gullible person, which is where the idiot comes from.

So obvious when you know. I was seeing a single letter for plan not the blindingly obvious three letter word reversed. 🤦‍♀️

Hi, can someone parse 3d for me - what does ‘overrunning eg Chelsea’ mean? Got everything else.

chelsea is an example of a side or ....?
