I've solved all of the clues (I think) apart from the 3 unclued ones. There are only a few options for the entries on those 3 but I simply haven't worked out the theme. Can someone help? So far I believe I have a superfluous word from 14D, 16D, 20D, 21D. Then maybe 22A and 3D? 16D almost seems to have 2 extra words? I assume if I have the superfluous words identified, it should be obvious.

For 1D, the answer seems obvious but I can't fit it to the word play.
