Nice and easy all the way until 11a and 12d which are my last two and have me totally stuck. Not sure my crossers are right for 11a because I can't think of a single word.

In what has become a familiar pattern for me, I raced through all of this apart from 12d and 24a . I give my myself an hour and I spent 3 times as long not getting those two than getting the rest.
How do the superstars never get totally stuck ?

Some clues please.
I think I’ve got 4 down but I don’t think it means decrease, which I think is necessary!
And I can fit a word in 5 down, but I can’t see it meaning ‘moves slowly’, which I’m assuming is the answer.
Thanks.

4d Imagine a piece of clothing was stored in some shelving in your wardrobe and then you took it out.
5d Wrong assumption unfortunately. .

12 is difficult to parse, but the solution is a historical figure (computer programmer) well-known to me, so I lucked out and wrote it in.
24 is a double definition that I was only able to get via crossers.

12 parses as 1, 2 followed by an anagram of (1-5, 1, 1). Definition "computer programmer".

Think of singer as a song bird.

12d is the name of someone who is generally regarded as the first computer programmer. (I gave up trying to parse this clue !)
