Fairly gentle today I thought, with all the regular Everyman features we’ve come to expect.

12d rang a bell as having come up fairly recently and in fact it was Everyman last year.

Yes pretty straightforward apart from 12d which I didn't remember...

A nice relaxed start to this Sunday which will get more stressful later if you’re an England football fan! I liked 4d and 22d as I always prefer clues where the definitions are not immediately obvious and they made me smile. FOI 6, LOI 24.

Is it just me or does anyone else think this crossword is getting easier?

Agreed, everything worked well, although I had to look up 25. I was pleased to arrive at 12d via the word play

12d is well known and buried in a church near us with an even more famous father.

I have to agree with barny - that was a pretty easy one today. I got all but 4 clues on my first pass !!

I found this a nice enjoyable puzzle today

As someone who only has time for one crossword a week it's nice to have a slightly gentler one occasionally

Having said that ,what one person finds straightforward may vex someone else
