Thanks again buddy. I see that after rearrangement, the synonym - 3,6 - is of the first name. Apologies for bothering you. I should really have persevered a little further before posting.

Well, if I felt it was bothering me I would not have replied. I had never heard of the 3,6 synonym but when I looked it up in Chambers and saw how it related to today's date I was even more in awe of this puzzle. Almost makes up for this week's stinky Listener.

Don't get me started on the Listener I couldn't finish (despite filling the grid, establishing the 2 thematic links and finding the first thematic word) !

Outstanding puzzle with so many great little Easter eggs 😉

It's not as daunting as it first appeared and I can thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a challenging but very rewarding puzzle.

Yes great puzzle and definitely best of the "big 3" this week. Its certainly a way of making sure solvers can fully parse!

Speaking of which, can someone explain parsing of 13 - i know the extra letter, and where it goes, but the parsing i have seems to require an extra letter.

ive also just worked out the 3rd character which was eluding me (and i was about to ask for help) - very sneaky proximal!
