I seem to recall you don't usually do EV but I'd recommend today's puzzle by proXimal. Best of the weekend "big 3" by a fair way in my opinion.

After spending virtually all day on proXimal's splendid offering I am one step from completion, namely identifying the synonym. I am fairly sure of 6 letters of it but am not certain of the others being the middle three. Are they b, r, and c ?

If you are referring to "the letters in the fourth quadrant to show a synonym of one of the names", none of your 3 letters appear in the numbered squares in that quadrant.

That's rather disappointing ! Is othe first of the three ?
