Thanks buddy. Should have known the dreaded C would cover it. A stretch and a half for me I'm afraid.

A few tricky ones this week, but I eventually got all except 7D. I've got N_M_R_L and I can't parse the clue at all. Any hints?

Hi Lexo,

7d - I love this clue - it's a subtractive anagram with the the definition "perhaps one" ... or two or three ...... :-) Your letters are all correct.

Definitely not in the same league as Saturday's, which is why the late post - hard to find appetite for a cheese sandwich after a banquet!
I found a few challenges: I didn't see the parsing of 3d at all, and the fact that the first 4 letters give a homophone for another synonym for 'catch' left me thinking there could be another solution for ages (perhaps a pointer to an elegant clue!)

Have a good week all, see you next weekend (or the days after!)
