I have to disagree with the grumbles. I thought this a fine puzzle,and a much stiffer challenge than usual. I came here to query the parsings for STOA and XRAY. Both turned out to be the result of excellent clues.

Hi, I cannot make head or tail of 32 down:

"Serializes broadcast about football managers without interference".

assuming I haven't got any of the intersecting answers wrong. Can anybody put me out of my misery please ? Many thanks.

Laissez-faire, without interference. It's a French phrase, though used (occasionally) here. It's an anagram of 'serializes' and FA (football managers). Well, I think those are the letters - I didn't check them off.
