Morning, all. Got there in the end, thanks to Geeker's help in dropping the (wrong) rhyming slang answer for 21d.
Still struggling with first word of 11a though, despite Jono's help.

Enjoyed this, especially the general favourites, 19 and 13, but did struggle, namely with 11a (thanks Jono for your hints, which enabled me to solve it) and 9a. I have the answer for 9a but have no idea about the parsing, so I am obviously missing something (especially as Brendan cited it as one of his favourites).

Took me ages to see the anagram in 1a, but thought that was a good one when I did. Likewise 5d - didn't realise that was an anagram until I'd biffed the answer.

Hi JV. 9 parses as type of swan (3), 3 letter Island - not Wight - then S and 3 ltr word for latest, as in "groovy, man"!

9a think “primarily” ;-)

Enjoyed this. I saw 2 rhyming pairs. One long one shorter. I was caught out a couple of times by one letter abbreviations where we normally see two letters. Sneaky!

Finally got 19A and corrected 21D to the synonym for the rhyming slang, not the rhyming slang itself ;)

I thought this was harder than usual.

Found this a tricky one today and I’m afraid I’m still struggling with the parsing for 11A despite your guidance Jono.
I can’t see how ‘joke’ relates the 3-letter segment of the 1-3-8 solution. Can anyone help me retain what little hair I have left? Thanks all for a great forum.
