This week's puzzle by Paul struck me as having a very contemporary feel to it, with some newish jargon and acronyms.

FOI was 15a followed by 19a.

If you do get stuck there is a long anagram in the acrosses.

As one would expect, there are a few Pauline clues - my favourite being 18d.

There are still a few I haven't fully parsed, namely 25a and 14d, but I'm sure of my answers so hopefully I'll figure them out soon.

COD - I had written down the excellent 22a but the more I look at 1d the more I like it - a tie:-)

All in all I thoroughly enjoyed this so thanks to Paul for a crossword full of wit and ingenuity.

I think we've had at least one new poster join our friendly Prize blog each week since the start of the year. It only takes a minute to join and you can ask for as many hints as you like so, go on - take the plunge 😜

Stay safe:-)

14d - Just had a PDM - I'd tried everything but the most obvious - doh!

Hi Brendan,
Not as challenging as the past few Prizes IMO, though there were some nice clues. Was expecting a topical geopolitical theme, especially after 25 (and perhaps 7 and 12), but didn't find one.
FOI 15, LOI 10, which would have been COD but for parsing uncertainty.
COD (11,9) over 1d and 13, with 25, 24d and 5d also enjoyable; thanks Paul.
17 required Google.
Not sure of parsing of 10: sure of the answer as a homophone, but the wordplay following the hyphen seems unclear.

.... and now I see the wordplay for 25a 😃

Hi Geeker,

10a is one of a number of homophones (I counted at least three) - It's split 3 (clever) + 5 (dribble)

25 is one of Paul's trademark complex parsings: 3-letter word for "family" enclosing (4-letter Americanism for "personal magnetism" less 1-letter "nothing") plus 3-letter "murderer?".

Sorry on 25, posts crossed in hyperspace...
I got the homophone in 10, but most of the rest of the clue (after the hyphen) seems superfluous.

Thanks Geeker, I got it straight after I'd seen the now obvious 14d! I know the "personal magnetism" from Lucifer, one of my favourite shows 😜

No, you definitely need the middle 2 letters of the second word to finish off the "dribble"

14 is funny! I wrote in the answer from the definition, but
[SPOILER ALERT]
the anagrind is a new one to me.
