I believe it's numerical this week, so my usual blurb might not be useful. Instead...

Keep hints as hints, don't reveal any answers. Gentle nudges towards the theme can be sought, and given - but no revealing of the theme itself should appear.

Excellent timing by the Listener editor! A numerical - which I perforce sit out - when my daughter, her partner and my grandson are coming to visit.

For those that are normally in 2 minds about the numericals, I recommend this one. Not too complicated or fiddly but satisfyingly challenging to get into. But once in falls quite quickly.

Indeed, that was by far my fastest completion of a Listener. At first I thought that it was going to be a brute but it actually falls into place very quickly indeed. Thank you Child's Play, it was extremely enjoyable and very clever indeed.

I've been to three shops this morning and in every one, the weekend section is missing from the paper. I love the numericals and would hate to miss out. Can anyone help please?

As a fan of numericals, I found this a delightful appetiser, which left me wanting more. No need for spreadsheets or guesswork, although I will admit to needing a pocket calculator!
