Sorry to have confused by my mention of 7 letters. It is of course 8 ( the odd numbered clues) I don' t have a Bradfords as I have always tried to solve without it.
Clue 8 indicated the theme and perhaps I have been finding some that weren't even there !

I do hope I now have the correct 8-letter word if it ends with C
