Aspria @4, I have ODQ8 which gives only three of the eight. As Buddy suggests, the 1611 version (available online) has the full suite.

Like others, I really enjoyed this but, before I file it away, can I double check a couple of things ...

1d - the only word that fits with my letters is A????R as in a writer, but how does that match up with H??D - or have I got it wrong?

35a - I see the definition "base" and have its synonym but how is F??? derived from "preposterous until out from"

Brendan, one definition, in Chambers, of the H... word confirms the A word - in between doer and producer,

I haven't come up with anything for 35 A.

35a, Preposterous can mean "Literally inverted", so a reversal of "until" + "out from"
