No, I didn't find them too tricky.... 1 A and 5 A started me off.

5a is the easiest from the wordplay ...just 3 letters...then you exchange it for a similar one...

There are 7 items in the original source and 8 words. The one that eludes me is 23 dn. I can't solve the clue for a start and the word I have in its place has a possible, although tenuous, connection with 1dn. Would I be right in supposing that its first letter is the same as the third of 9dn?

Aspria, the answer to 23 D is a short anagram. Your tenuous line sounds reasonable - though it's notinvolved in the puzzle. The first letter of the entry is the same as the third in 9 D.

Why is the title the same as EV 1520? Is there a connection or is it a mistake?

Jigjag, the title confused me first thing this morning - I thought there had been a mistake and we were getting the old one again! If Consequences wasn't the setter's original title, I expect the crossword editor did it as a slightly sneaky, disconcerting move. The puzzles are very different, of course, but they do both involve consequences, results.

Thanks it confused me too. We have had Satisfaction 1, Satisfaction 2.....

If it had been Consequences 2, I would have been happier. As you say that it does involve consequences, I will have a go at it. Is it at the easier enf of the scale?

Thanks,Jigjag.

I can't remember if the Satisfaction ... puzzles were from the same setter. I know one of the Inquisitor setters uses something like Map 1, Map II and so on.

This one was at the medium end of the scale, I'd say- doable in one sitting, but concentration is needed!
