Best reference I could find was Collins: “an exclamation to announce a destination: what -, land -, westward - “
And that part of town is a little more salubrious these days ;-)

NSOED also has "Used after the place or thing to which attention is called, esp. as a destination".

I don't think it was a very good clue though.

I also liked 1A but 27A was good as well, if a little contrived.

Having read all the previous comments then, if that was what what Tramp meant, I'm more than happy to accept it:-)

13D I don't think he's as good as Paul at that kind of clue :)

After about three sittings yesterday, I'm back for another try this morning and have just the NE to complete. But it's been tough and glad to have had cheerleader references to lighten the mood.

But for 21d I have I?E?T but can't find a word that fits. Am I right or are my crossers wrong?

Hi Rocky,
Yes your crossers are correct. It’s a term used in broadcasting

OK thanks Jono. Perhaps not one I can bring to mind. I think I need to crack 6d now and the other blanks should fall into place. Haven't even glanced at the Everyman yet.

Just finished after taking another timeout to go cycling for a couple of hours.

Never heard of 21d or 25a and I found Tramp used slightly different meanings for some fairly standard words. But that's not a crime in itself it just made it tougher.

COD 1a. Now on to Everyman which I see is a thread already on here.
