@justsolve, does your theme involve a lot of sleaze?

Aah I have it now. Was assuming answer was a verb but it is a noun duh!

Just 23d left now although not sure if I have 26a correct.

25a is a new word to me. Only got it using crossword solver.

23d is where strippers supposedly are to be found
26a is a one who broadcasts seeds with one letter inserted

Certainly a lot of topical sleaze in this puzzle !

I could give a hint on 25, but it would be a real giveaway. You would probably enjoy it more without!

25 is an anagram.

Doh ! just got 25a as I had transposed two letters in the crosser.

Ta Chris and rainman. I just solved before I saw both your comments. My error in the down crosser caused the problem

chrise @10: AGES for 22 was my first try, but rejected due to conflicts with the rather obvious crossers. Agreed it's not a great clue.

If there are solutions along the top or down the left-hand side, I always look at those first, so, as I said earlier, AGES was FOI!
