I think the thread, designed to help anyone who was really stuck with a clue, got diverted somewhat when the posts asking for thematic help came along... Maybe struggling solvers will have been put off, maybe struggling solvers would rather persevere for a bit longer.

Just posted a desperate plea for help finishing on the "Listener 4686, Answers if requested" thread. All help gratefully received!

I hope this is the correct thread. To provide my peace of mind can anybody confirm that the (4,6) does not appear in this fashion in the grid. I thought I would erase all the other letters except the ones in (4,6) but I am left with an unsatisfactory looking grid. Where have I gone wrong?

I see now this was the wrong thread and if I'd spelt Swift correctly i might have seen the solution more quickly. Sorted now. Thanks (for being here)
