Do you almost have a Ricky Martin song for 27A?

28A is fairly standard "changing side" device.

23D I had to look up an alternative meaning

Wouldn't it be luvverly if you have 26A correct ;)

Hi Roof, in 19 I believe the answer describes Cordelia's relationship to Lear rather than a specific quote (though I’m happy to be corrected)

Hi PDM

I'm non the wiser, but a PDM gave me 1ac and 1d and I changed my answer for 4d. I'm happy with my answer to 26ac now. The only one I'm really not sure about is 27ac, but it is the only word that fits.

Although it took me some time, I was really pleased to get so many answers after last week's debacle.

Off to watch BBC 4's scandi noir now.

You're probably best off being unaware of who Ricky Martin is to be honest ;)

27A: #! is also one of the names given to a Unix/Linux scripting command (also known as hashbang, pound-bang or hash-pling). The pluralised form turned up a while back but it may have been in the Everyman. It's one of those awful Americanisms anyway ;)

But it is a proper word, listed as an Americanism in Chambers, presumably from Yiddish (although could be Irish or French origin looking on wikipedia etc.)
