Thanks nxe for explaining 32 across. This puzzle was a very gentle ride. A Friday finish is unusual for me.

As generally noted, an easy ride- but I can't see what's going on in 28d.

I was misled for a while by choosing the wrong correct letterer in 8d - it's nice that there are two equally plausible possibilities.

Dylan, 28 down is a double definition with n changed to s

Despite the hints I still can’t work out 19A. I have the poet’s decline but if I search for any six letter words where that forms the start and end I don’t come up with anything where the three letter word in the middle means silence. Could someone assist further please?

Pootle - you need to be using the right version of the poetic decline.

Then silence is used as a verb as in how one would silence the press

Regarding the Voltex banners, this company has been confirmed as a SCAM by Moneysavingexpert and others and should be avoided completely. I have reported Voltex to admin. In the hope that the ad. will be removed.
