Might the last one be "was" rather than "is"? It's then just an anagram. A CAT'S PAW in that sense is a breath of wind that makes light ripples on water.

Apologies for CAT'S PAW...Yes it should've been 'was', thus making it an anagram. My predictive texting plays havoc sometimes.
