Parses for the above please.

10. R (Rex, monarch) + Don, a Spanish chap, who might say “adiós” if he was going.

23a - John Donne quote "no man is an island"

4d - IRISH with the R (R(ing leader) replaced by MP "politician"

5. I think this is NOB (head) + M (male) in LEAN (rest) with an &Lit definition

5d - Head = NOB + Rest = LEAN around/accepted M(ale)

…or at least an extended definition

That last one took me so long because it has MAN in the answer and "male" as part of the clue.
