Very, very slow progress here. Have just solved a Down clue (I think) which seems to have an extra word in it. Is that possible from the preamble?

Making painfully slow progress but gradually filling the grid from top to bottom. I have the first 11 Across answers apart from 9a which has now halted the grid-fill. Although I have some thoughts, I just can't solve it so would really appreciate a gentle hint please - on the other thread if you feel it needs to be. Thanks in advance.

Finished! I think this is the longest I've spent on a puzzle without ever hitting a wall and needing a hint to get going again. Impressive construction.
