Sorry geeker - didn’t see your hints, which were subtler than mine.

Rogissimo, no problem, simultaneous posts are common. My hints are often too subtle because I'm hyperconscious of spoilers.

Thanks guys. I wondered if there was a Pauline hidden in there. I guess I was shooting blanks.

My LOI was 11d. Not familiar with that expression, but finally pieced it together. I also thought 25 was weak. I did appreciate the misdirection of 27 though. It couldn’t be THAT easy, right?

I found this relatively difficult.
Learned 11d from crosswords very recently. Wrote in the last 3 words and had to work on the 1st.
FOI 21 (slow to get going), LOI and COD 1d. Also liked 6, 5 and 13.
Noticed a rhyming pair and a lengthy "first letters".
Thanks to Everyman for an unexpected workout. :-)

Rather more straight forward than recent weeks I thought, with no overly complicated parsing. Rather a ‘lot of’ “most of, half of, 40% of, drop of” indications. Favourites were 8d and 16d for neat constructions.

I liked 13 very much. I agree that "dugong" must have been intended, though it makes no difference to the solution.

I found this difficult to get started - my FOI was 22a then 25a. The down clues were a bit easier to get going with and it eventually all fell into place - apart from 1d, which was my LOI and I had to use a word finder for.
The rhyming pair and ‘primarily’ clues are there again this week, as well as a couple of hiddens

Struggled to get going. Thank heavens for the primarily which of course I don't normally like! But had huge gaps for ages. Ignored the dugong gudong issue. 6d cracked it for me once I got it in and a few crossers. Wishing you all a good day.

Really enjoyed this one and COD for me as a guitarist has to be 1D. 4a really good and now I know another word transposition I never knew about ! Also smiled at 27a :-)
