This thread is aimed at those needing a little extra help. If you're struggling (really struggling!) with a Listener clue, please post your request here.

Slightly more generous hints to the theme may also be given here - in response to a request, not unsolicited. It is, of course, tricky to define 'slightly more generous', but I feel it's worthwhile to try to get the balance right.

*Answers - this refers to individual clues, requests for help, rather than a shopping list. This is not a place for lists of answers to be posted gratuitously, any such posting will be removed.

I need a hand to complete grid fill. Did 95% last night but still can’t see 1d. I’m assuming it is actually more than ten letters! Definition would help maybe?
Also hoping when I see the endgame there will be a reason for strange size of grid! 10x15 is a bit small….feeling a little cheated.

Hi Lumen. 1d is just the 10 letters and the definition is the last word. I think Opsimath used a similar grid for his/her previous puzzle.

I'm still lost in staresville. Thought sleeping on it might help but it hasn't.
Rejected one possibility, which was matching sets of letters, as there is an odd number of letters.

You may be over-thinking it as I was last night. For some reason, I got it into my head that it was going to be a particular "basic fact" and spent ages looking just for that. I'm usually more 'disciplined' in my grid searches and start with all the rows, then all the columns, then the diagonals. I wish I'd done that with this one.

Grid fill nearly done, but two queries:

is 3d in Chambers? - I can't see it with the letters I have so far

27d- where does Bella fit in? - I can see how the answer is a savings account, but not a book or Bella

Thanks

Yes, 3D is in Chambers. Requires use of the device in the rubric.

Dylan, for the book think Bible - as your namesake did all too often in his off period!
