I'm gobsmacked that nobody has yet commented on this tremendous puzzle. It had everything for me - good level of difficulty, good surface readings and a fun theme which me me laugh out loud with the PDM. Thanks eXternal😊

No EV comments either, but I'm saving that for a lazy afternoon tomorrow.

I agree, a really good work-out with a fun theme I twigged early from the 8A/10D combination.
My only slight niggle (and it is slight) is that the characters don't all come from the same stable, the one synonymous with the top row.

But didn't they all come out of the same mouth?

I was going to start a thread yesterday to say how much I enjoyed it and the PDM was, as you say, a LOL moment. Nice clueing, not overly complicated nor too many clashes. A real pleasure.

However, the last couple of times I've started an Inquisitor thread, so has someone else, at the same time. Duplicate threads create such a kerfuffle I don't start 'em any more.

Great puzzle. Not easy, but achievable, with a few of the theme words being fairy unambiguous. And fully parseable too. Very nice weekend with Listener all done too yesterday.
