With daylight saving things get done differently for me.
This had it’s moments and there are one or two stretches.
No rhyming pair but a couple of fruit instead, well three if you count one of the down clues. There is the origin clue as well.
But I thought it a bit tough that you needed to know the two scientific Roberts, not to mention a relatively recent film.
A very sneaky anagram in the downs and a number of them in the across clues.
4d was my last in and it took a bit of thought - at least this author is not as unknown as the prize yesterday.
The usual slightly dodgy clues but all doable. I liked 21d

Thanks to Everyman, solid puzzle, maybe a little above median difficulty due to complex wordplay in some long clues. I didn't see a rhyming pair on the first pass, but on further inspection found one. Purists may find fault in places, but as mystogre observed that's par for the Everyman course.
FOI 1d, LOI 19d.
I enjoyed quite a few clues but no clear COD, long list was 26, 7, 8, 24, 5, 3, 21 and 9. A few nice surfaces among the short solutions.
A significant number of geographical clues, but not enough to declare a theme.

I found it a struggle but all done .Two possible rhyming pairs if you are willing to be generous .
My friend google needed twice .COD 5 down but I just like those type of clues .

Rather good I thought but with no particular stand outs. For once ‘bit of’ was not a first letter indicator. Not sure if you’d call 18d a ghost anagram but it’s close. Enjoyed 8d, 11a and 20a the most.

I'd place this one on the easier end of the scale as I didn't need the forum or Google. FOI 1a and that opened up the top half. Enjoyable solving provided by suitably cryptic but not unfathomable cluing. COD 7d.

Best Everyman in ages in my view. All done, no cheating, some smiles along the way. Thank-you setter.

Tip of the day: there are a few clues where you just have to follow the instructions and hopefully inspiration strikes midway through.

Not too bad on the whole but needed quite a bit of help with NW corner. I didn’t remember the word for tantrum in 3d, the Greek character in 1a had me stumped and I always get caught out by that definition of host in 1d. Oh, and the baron/ dame combination needed Google.
I’ve got 8d but can’t parse it, can anyone help?

8d is a homophone. Think physics

I didn't enjoy this. What's the "in" doing in 18d? Is 24a really a word? You could leave out 2 letters and have exactly the same meaning.

Hi Chris, with you on ‘in’, I can only think it is to indicate the ghost element, but it doesn’t really work for me.
24a is a term in economics and Chambers ties it specifically to currency exchange rates so I think ok.
