Beulah, there are few previous posts on this. You need to treat the grid like a normal crossword, the clues in the left-hand column are the across clues, with two solutions per row.
To give you a startl, the top row starts with answer A (beginning in 2nd column), answer B, starts at 7th column. You will see the starts of the answers to clues R, T, U and V, from those, clues Q and S start at heads of first and fifth columns.
