For all those who are a little fearful of numericals, I would suggest this would be a good puzzle to choose as an entry point.
There are a number of clues which yield a very small number of possible answers - but when combined with the grid restrictions (and the effect those restrictions have on the clues' symmetrical counterparts) these can be reduced further. The rest can be completed using a very clear logical path. Oh, and worry about the grid-fill later!
Thanks Hedgehog!

I agree mprs, this isn't an answer, if I'd looked here it would simply have saved me googling the 4 digit fibonacci numbers.

Good puzzle overall - now will have to find more useful things to do over the weekend now though!

Before I start to fit all my answers in the grid I have a nagging doubt that is troubling me. I have a digit in the answer to "a" and "P" that does not seem to fit the preamble - have I gone wrong?

gitto, if you mean you don't have either OEOE or EOEO then I think you must have gone wrong somewhere ..

gitto - I think so yes, as far as I can see the preamble is followed all the way through.

Gitto - I can see what you might be thinking regarding the answer for clue a, and it does include that digit. However, when I solved this, clue P had two possible answers and could only be confirmed on filling the grid...

Lewap, I am referring to the last digit in those 2 clues, do yo agree with that? (and in both instances, I has to be considered even?)

lordbadger, I have one of those sequences in all of my other answers, and in "a" and "P" if the final digit is considered even. My problem is I only solved the clues assuming it was neither EO.

gitto, it is considered even, but I don't have it appearing at the end of P (just a) ..
