Gitto, 32 is a 2-word phrase (2,6) for "get really angry" and you have to remove the outer letters. The missing letter is in the fifth word of the clue.

I don’t know if it’s relevant but I have just highlighted the name of a listener setter!

Unclued, it is indeed relevant and reveals the connection with the thematic answers.

I’m struggling to understand the instructions for this one which looks like a real head scratcher. Can I check that the adding of letters from thematic items using the method described only applies to the perimeter answers?

Hi CD & Loge. CD I tried those names this morning and got nowhere. However, when I put the first name in with a VERY relevant second word I got straight to a relevant link - he was brilliant. Thankfully I am now 100% sure of my (logical) guess at the 4 letter perimeter clue. Loge, thanks for letting me understand 32a. The frustration and angst of these more difficult challenges soon fades away as the PDM emerges.

I am really struggling with this one. Could someone tell me if the extra letter inserted in 22 goes in the sixth column, and confirm that the clue answer is related to astrology?

I’ve got the significance of the perimeter clues, but not that of the added thematic items. I’ve tried the name in combination with the obvious (and not so obvious) relevant words, but no joy. Have you found something that explains the thematic items? If so Perhaps a harder nudge would help me find it…
