12a - 6 letter "found fault with" (as in 'moaned') + single letter "independent" + 2 letter "writer reversed/"about" - definition is Latin expression

13d - 2 letter "press release" + 2 letter "approve" + single letter "disc" + an anagram/"fabulous" of "five" - definition is the name of a "musician"

All your letters are correct.

Another one finished, needed some help from here for 13D though. FOI 15A LOI 24A (never heard of that before).

4D was my favourite one today I think but had I not needed help on 13D would have been that one.

I can't work out how 9A works though, can't work out the time writing menu part of it.
