If I recall correctly, there are 5 reverse entries, the 5 that have a common definition with the RHS clues

Managed to get full left and right grids but am at a loss for what to do with the centre square. Found all corrected letters in down clues.

If you search for the theme word (given by corrections to misprints) the wiki entry includes the character in its first sentence - it can be suitably 'represented' in the grid.

Ha ha, LuckySalem.

I went one letter further and got stuck in the world of schoolboy lavatorial humour. And this made me think of a certain planet (not the Sun). All silly stuff.
Still, I got there “in the end!”

Made heavy weather of this as my first in was 'garrison' for 1 down (parsed g(uard) +Arris (corner)+on (change first letter of in). This made finding the theme very difficult before realised my error.

I too made heavy weather of this, but am pretty much there thanks in large part to the hints on here so thank you.

I have one remaining clue (and cell) to complete and that’s 13d. I’m guessing the first word has the letter change (I need the T). My best guess at the unchecked cell is M but I could be wrong. And I cannot parse it. I never quite parsed 16a either so maybe I’ve made an error there. Thanks

I’ve ground to a halt, about 50% done, and would appreciate guidance on 21/22 which should get me going again.
