Hi cranberryboat. The route I gave in earlier post seems to obey those rules. Doesn't it? What am I doing wrong?

hi nelson - its gone with the recycling now so I can't check... I'm sure the balloons and walls prevented a quicker route, though. Will look out for the dull solution in a couple of weeks!

Thanks ginge, but I don't have a guardian in 31D. My answer is an anagram of TILER+H.
Is that wrong?

I didn’t think much about the highlighting, but from the top number my route went 4 cells SW, 2 cells S, 5 cells SE, 4 cells E. Is there a better way?
